about

Told from the point of view of someone left behind by their hometown friend, as well as the friend that moves away, the subject of this song finally moves home for the best reason.

lyrics

We met in high school
You skipped ahead in Physics dude
Your force never equaled M times A
We were effed when you left the Nutmeg State

But you left me all alone
Standing here Foran Road
You left me all alone

Unpacking boxes in your Brooklyn loft
Subway rattle keeps throwing you off
Still thinking about the Milford beach
Suburban times felt out of reach

Packed up my shit again
This time for home my friends
I think I got the sign
And I’m making her my wife

Now I’ll never be alone
I finally found my home
I’ll never be alone

When is something gonna happen for me
And will I see a sign?
Will I wake up one day
My future is defined?
And will it all work out for me?

I think it all worked out for me
