about

Dave was convinced he could play the drums on this track in the studio, so he tried. It wasn't great. Ralph took back over on the drums.

Also, we "borrowed" a microphone from the college radio station to record vocals on this song. The microphone was returned the same night and nobody knew any different.

At Brian's funeral, the priest delivering the eulogy mentioned that Brian had been in a band. Brian's parents must have given the priest a copy of this CD. It's pretty obvious the priest didn't listen to it (the first song is named Porn Star, after all), and we truly hope he didn't. Anyways, part of the priest's eulogy awkwardly compared Brian being "In Your Arms" to being in the arms of God. It was a stretch.

lyrics

Please just listen to me
I know I stutter when I speak
But I've been practicing for a whole week

I don't know why it happens
It never happens this way
Why'd you stop and say hello to me

You're the kind of girl you only see on TV
But your sweet talk makes you real to me
And there's something about me
Only you can see
And in your arms is where I want to be

I don't know where to go
And I don't know what to do
But I know that I don't lie

Whenever we're together
I haven't felt much better
And I never want to say goodbye
