about

This poor girl had a song written for her before Google existed, before there was a need to anonymize people's actual names.

lyrics

Oh Ali Toro, why don't you throw your love around
When I'm the only one you ever thought you'd let down
You'll be gone in a month
You know exactly what you got
I'm glad I got to know you
Cause I know Ralph, and you, he's not

Oh Ali Toro
I cannot lie
I don't know what you want
Cause I'm too scared to ask
Cause you might never be mine

Oh Ali Toro,
Besame mucho,
Are they all as lovely as you are down there?
Don't go away,
Although I know that you'll come back
It's a whole summer long,
and I'll probably get off track

about

SiMent Milford, Connecticut

Formidable power-pop band SiMent formed in Milford, CT in 1995 with Dave Novak, Ralph Thompson and Brian McGarry. In 1997, Jason Weaver completed the lineup.

After a nine-year hiatus, SiMent emerged in 2013 to write a new album as a fundraising effort for Brian McGarry's memorial educational fund. "Names" dropped in early 2014, followed by the 2017 EP "Sonata for Six Hands (Donuts for Dinner)".
