Hand me my punk rock pajamas It’s time to strap on my wheeled shoes Head on down to the Hangar I got some girls to bruise So on my way to get some coffee you won't believe who cut me off The hottest guy I have ever seen, with hair like Hasselhoff I don’t mind the lack of sunshine as long as I have my Dew It’s pretty weird here in Port-land It might not be for you Sipping my coffee from Stumptown Heading across the Burnside Daydreaming about my Lumpy I couldn’t believe my eyes! There goes that Hasselhoff jackass and his troupe of unicyclists Chasing down a pack of penguins shaking their fists! I should have kicked his ass I should have taken his name But instead of that I instantly knitted a fabulous beanie, cut off his long flowing locks, put the beanie on his head And then I walked away! I don’t mind the lack of sunshine as long as I have my Dew It’s pretty weird here in Portland It might not be for you

Behind the wheel of a Mazda truck He learned to drive, he learned to fuck Now close your eyes and hold your breath Narrowly escaping death After the crash, he ran away He only got a couple blocks away When he got home, his dad was pissed YOU FUCKING WRECKED MY TRUCK! Kevo, how’d you go From being fast to being last? It wasn’t long before he bought a Metro Back on the road he was ready set, go! He jumped the canyon, did a barrel ro-ll And then the ring of FIRE! Kevo, how’d you go From being fast to being last? Kevo, how’d you go From being fast to being last?

We met in high school You skipped ahead in Physics dude Your force never equaled M times A We were effed when you left the Nutmeg State But you left me all alone Standing here Foran Road You left me all alone Unpacking boxes in your Brooklyn loft Subway rattle keeps throwing you off Still thinking about the Milford beach Suburban times felt out of reach Packed up my shit again This time for home my friends I think I got the sign And I’m making her my wife Now I’ll never be alone I finally found my home I’ll never be alone When is something gonna happen for me And will I see a sign? Will I wake up one day My future is defined? And will it all work out for me? I think it all worked out for me

We’re all made for many things Many wrenches for many bolts Earth still spins, fruits still grow Strap on wings and boldly flow Take over the second stream Upturn rocks til' you find the one Laugh it out, now let it go Turn about, cause they don't know We are all in the middle of it We’re all in the middle of everything Everything………. The stuff we have don’t mean a thing Disregard as we see fit Untie the knot, you can’t get stuck Fall head first, it wasn't luck We are all in the middle of it We’re all in the middle of everything Everything……….

We wanted you to join our dumb little band but instead you left us with a Mittleman You had some hair when you got to Foran But you shaved it all off and went bald instead These are the stories of your life This is one-third of your life We’re all wondering what is coming next These things all happen You then moved one more state to the north sucked it dry and moved on to LA Before too long you made out like a Bandit Kiss or Kill every night in Silver Lake But LA wasn’t enough for you You needed something more Sign your life on the dotted line And they’ll send you off to war Now you’re off in a place where the sun goes to sleep While we see it rise There’s been so much fucked up shit over there that it must have burned a hole in your eyes These are the stories of your life This is one-third of your life We’re all wondering what is coming next These things all happen Now you’re back in the states but you don’t have a clue anymore where home lies You find yourself here with us in the Lone Star State Which is more or less a state of mind

Well tall and shorts are a pairing Years of memories we’re sharing We knew it long ago Walking down Foran Road I wanted you in the worst way Long before I’m the Birthday I saw the future in your smile You made me laugh all the while And every time I see you It does wonders for my eyes I love the way you’re always acting so surprised When I do the things you want me to When I do the little things for you Now we got proof of our existence Look at those four eyes you can’t miss them Years of happiness and health Now I can dance all by myself! And every time I see you It does wonders for my eyes I love the way you’re always acting so surprised When I do the things you want me to When I do the little things for you When I do the little things for you When I do the little things for you

about

To help raise money for our late bassist Brian's memorial scholarship fund, we sold ten "personalized" songs during the 2013 fundraiser. SiMent spent time in 2013 writing these songs, entering the studio February 15 - 18, 2014 to record the songs.

SiMent's first full length album in twelve years -- and first new music recorded since 2005 -- is now available for a suggested donation of $10, 100% of which will be donated to Brian's scholarship fund.
